PulseState / ZXApps
Privacy Policy
What PulseState uses, where it goes, and the choices you control.
Effective 19 September 2026
1. Who we are
ZXApps provides PulseState for iPhone and Apple Watch, including its widgets, complications, shortcuts, and related support pages. In this policy, “we” means ZXApps. For privacy questions or requests, email zxapps1993@gmail.com.
PulseState processes health information on your devices to provide general wellness insights. You do not need a PulseState account. The app does not upload your Health records or calculated scores to a ZXApps server. Contacting support or visiting a hosted support page involves separate processing described below.
2. Health and fitness information
With your permission, the iPhone app reads records through Apple's HealthKit framework. These can include heart rate, resting heart rate, heart-rate variability (HRV), respiratory rate, blood oxygen, systolic and diastolic blood pressure, sleep duration and stages, steps, active energy, exercise time, activity summaries and goals, and workouts with their dates, duration, activity type, available heart-rate and energy information, and source. Availability depends on your devices, recorded history, and the categories you allow.
Apple Health can contain records from Apple Watch, iPhone, other authorized apps, accessories, and manual entries. PulseState reads the shared Health store; it does not sign in to, scrape, or separately download your Apple Fitness account. It does not request clinical records from healthcare providers.
When you start a workout in the Watch app, PulseState requests permission to read and save workouts and relevant measurements, including heart rate, active energy, and walking/running or cycling distance. Saving depends on the access you grant and successful completion of the recording. The iPhone app's wellness analysis reads Health data and does not write its estimated scores back as measured Health records.
These records are used to display your history and calculate recovery, readiness, Body Energy, stress indicators, sleep summaries, training load, trends, and suggested training windows. Derived scores are estimates, not direct Apple Health measurements, medical diagnoses, or guarantees.
3. Preferences and optional features
The app uses information you enter or select, such as your display name, goals, training preferences, habits, water logs, check-ins, planned sessions, units, appearance, and notification choices. Preferences and supported logs are held locally; some timeline and planning information may exist only during the current app session. PulseState is not a permanent medical-record archive.
With notification permission, PulseState can schedule local reminders and wellness updates. Notification text, widgets, complications, and Siri responses may reveal wellness information to someone who can see or hear your device. You control these features and notification previews in your device settings.
If you choose to add a plan to Calendar, the app requests write-only calendar access and saves the events you select. Those events can contain session titles, times, notes, and reminders. Your chosen calendar provider may sync them according to that provider's settings. PulseState does not request access to read your existing calendar events.
Apple processes in-app purchases. StoreKit supplies product and transaction information needed to verify Pro access, restore purchases, and manage subscriptions. ZXApps does not receive your payment-card details through the app. Apple may separately provide developer sales, usage, or crash reports under Apple's settings and policies; this is not an in-app advertising or analytics SDK.
4. Storage and sharing
PulseState uses app-local storage and an Apple App Group to share calculated summaries and preferences with its widgets. The iPhone sends a wellness summary, relevant settings, and Pro-access status to the paired Watch using WatchConnectivity. The Watch displays that summary and keeps a local copy for later display; Watch workout recording uses HealthKit on the Watch.
PulseState does not operate a developer-run cloud health database or a custom iCloud health database. Apple's own Health synchronization, device transfers, and system backups are separate services controlled by your Apple settings. Copies of device or app data may be included in system backups. Deleting one installation does not necessarily delete copies on another device, in Health, or in a backup.
The app has no advertising SDK, third-party behavioral analytics SDK, or cross-app tracking. We do not sell, rent, or use your HealthKit information for advertising, marketing profiles, data-broker services, or unrelated data mining. PulseState does not send your health information to an external AI service.
Information that you deliberately send to support is received by ZXApps and processed by the email services involved in delivery, including Gmail. We may disclose information we actually hold when legally required, to address fraud or security incidents, or to protect legal rights, with the disclosure limited to what is necessary. We cannot disclose on-device Health records that we do not possess.
5. Support messages and hosted pages
If you email zxapps1993@gmail.com, we receive your email address, message, and any attachments you choose to send. We use them to respond, investigate your issue, maintain necessary support records, and handle legal obligations. Do not send passwords, payment-card details, a full Health export, or sensitive medical information. Redact unrelated personal details from screenshots.
The supplied PulseState support pages use no advertising, analytics scripts, tracking pixels, or nonessential cookies added by ZXApps. When the pages are hosted on GitHub Pages, GitHub receives request information, including IP addresses, and logs it for security. Opening an external link or using your mail app is governed additionally by the relevant provider's policy. Reading the bundled policies inside PulseState does not load a website.
Email and hosting providers may process information outside your country. Their privacy policies describe their processing and safeguards. This does not mean that PulseState uploads your on-device Health records to those providers.
6. Retention and deletion
Local preferences and saved logs remain until changed or deleted, or until the operating system removes the relevant app storage. Cached wellness summaries are replaced as new summaries arrive. A summary becoming too old to display is not a promise that every stored copy has been erased.
To stop future Health access, revoke PulseState's read and write permissions in Health. Revoking permission does not itself erase prior cached summaries, saved workouts, calendar events, or backup copies. Remove PulseState from iPhone and Watch and remove its widgets and complications if you want to stop using its local copies. Choose Delete App rather than Offload App, which keeps app data. Manage Health records, calendar events, and backups separately using Apple's or your provider's controls.
We retain support correspondence only as long as reasonably necessary to resolve the request, manage related follow-up, comply with legal obligations, and address disputes or security issues. We consider the sensitivity of the information and whether the matter remains open. You may request deletion; if a legal requirement prevents it, we will explain the applicable limit. Email-provider backups may remain subject to the provider's retention processes.
There is no PulseState account or developer-held health profile to delete. Removing the app does not cancel an Apple subscription. Our Data Controls & Deletion guide explains the separate steps.
7. Permissions and your privacy rights
Health, notification, and calendar permissions are controlled separately by Apple. You can decline or later change them. Features requiring the declined data may be unavailable. HealthKit intentionally does not tell an app whether you denied read access, so missing data can also mean no records are available.
ZXApps cannot remotely inspect, correct, or erase your device's Health store. Use Health and device controls for that information, or contact us for help finding those controls. PulseState's automated wellness estimates do not make legal, employment, insurance, or healthcare decisions about you.
8. Security, children, and updates
PulseState relies on Apple's app sandbox, Health permissions, and device security. No device, email service, or transmission method is completely secure. Use a device passcode, install security updates, and consider who can access your notifications and wearable displays.
PulseState is a general wellness app and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly solicit personal information from children under 13 through support. A parent or guardian who believes a child has sent us personal information can contact us to request deletion. Older minors should use the app only with any parental permission required by local law.
We may update this policy when features, practices, or legal requirements change. The effective date identifies this version. Material changes will be communicated in the app or an updated notice as appropriate, and new consent will be requested where required. A policy update does not itself authorize a new use of Health data.
